In every aspect, June was an exceptionally eventful and fruitful time at the Centre. We started the month off with the Isha Foundation initiative to raise awareness concerning the harm caused by single use plastic. As part of the drive, volunteers rounded up at the centre and throughout London, urging for a shift to multi-use recyclable products.

To commemorate the 4th International Day of Yoga, the centre organised 9 free Isha Yoga workshops in June! Aimed primarily at people who want to get a taste of Isha, these bite-size sessions combine invigorating physical postures, breathing techniques and guided meditations for overall well-being. Several of these workshops were conducted during lunch hours to facilitate working professionals the perfect time to recharge and rejuvenate in the tranquil atmosphere of the centre. We offered sessions for success, peace, health and love, and were overwhelmed by the volume of positive feedback from the participants with requests for more such sessions in the future!

For the first time, a cooking workshop was held at the centre, imparting simple wholesome recipes using easily available ingredients to eager participants! Special attention was given to understanding and enhancing the texture and flavour of the food using simple but effective variations. Another highlight at the centre was the arrival of the long awaited Isha Shoppe shipment from India! We are now delighted to offer more intricately crafted artisan jewellery and clothes, whose elegant designs combine traditional Indian aesthetics with contemporary style! A wide range of organic clothing, stunning handmade copperware alongside refreshing fragrances and Ayurvedic skin products are now available at our Isha Shoppe! We invite you to check out these beautiful, inspiring and practical products at the centre!

If you thought last month sounded exciting, then the upcoming month promises to be even more fruitful! We are excited to announce that starting from the 9th of July, both guided Shambhavi Mahamudra practice and presence time will be offered daily from Monday to Friday from 5.45pm to 6.30pm.

We are also privileged to invite you to celebrate Guru Purnima at the centre on the 27th of July. It is a special celebration for us to offer our gratitude to Sadhguru! The event will feature a performance by Sounds of Isha followed by a volunteers meet! - Stay tuned for more details.

We are excited to announce that the possibility to benefit from the Sadhanapada period will be offered at the centre in London. Sadhanapada is a period between Guru Purnima and Mahashivaratri which is a time of heightened receptivity; a time when our sadhana can yield the best results. If you wish to participate please register here.

In June, we were delighted to be able to offer 3 Inner Engineering Programmes and 6 Hatha Yoga Workshops at the centre. For those who have already learnt angarmardana, surya kriya, and yogasanas, 7 Guided Hatha Yoga Workshops were conducted to enable participants to re-establish and refresh, to further deepen their own practices! Our recently introduced drop in sessions were a hit, and we managed to offer 4 of these miniature feelers of hatha yoga combined with meditation! Guided hatha yoga sessions and corrections sessions will be regularly offered in July to support those who wish to take their hatha yoga practices to the next level.

Volunteering
"Volunteers are the true pillars of Isha in spreading this divine possibility to one and all. My blessings and guidance will always be with them, and this privilege will also be a doorway to their liberation. In this work, if they dissolve their feet, they will walk on mine"   -Sadhguru

All programmes and events within Isha are volunteer run. It takes tremendous levels of effort to make these happen, and they're only possible as a direct result of volunteers' love and dedication. As the number of programmes and events offered at the Isha Yoga Centre in London is growing, so too does the need for the continuous support from volunteers both to run Isha’s inspirational programmes and to maintain the centre as a joyful and energised space. If you wish to volunteer, please fill in this survey or get in touch with us on volunteers.uk@ishafoundation.org. We hope you will take advantage of this wonderful growth opportunity.

Donation
We have been able to establish the centre after more than 10 years of continuous efforts thanks to the goodwill and support of Isha meditators. It is now poised to lead the efforts in offering the powerful tools of yoga to raise human consciousness across Europe. You can support this endeavour by donating towards the running costs of the centre. Your donation can be on a monthly basis, or as a one-off contribution. No matter how big or small the contribution is, every penny will go a long way in helping the centre to thrive and expand. If you are UK taxpayer, your donation is tax free and eligible for Gift Aid. Please make your contribution by clicking here.

Should you wish to donate by cheque, please make it payable to 'Isha Institute of Inner Sciences' and post it to the address: Isha Accounts Office, 27 The Grange, Wembley HA0 1SY UK. If you have any queries about donations you can write to us on donations.europe@ishafoundation.org

Taking part in the Inner Engineering Total Program was the greatest gift I could give to my “self”. The sense of gratitude and love is overwhelming. Since adopting a continued practice of the tools I have been shown, I feel that I’ve become more efficient, productive and joyful in my day to day dealings with life.

I also sleep a lot less, I’m feel less lethargic and I have greater appreciation for the phenomena and beauty around me. In a sense, I’ve been blessed to discover what I already had.

But still there is a lot of work to do with this “self” of mine. Certain thought patterns and reactive tendencies have been nurtured and allowed to grow thick roots. When working to deconstruct life long habits, a degree of patience must be embraced. With this in mind, I take joy in knowing that there is a ‘process’ taking place within me that’s not reliant on anything external aligning itself in any particular way. Whilst this is sometimes just an intellectual understanding, the gap between knowing and experiencing is becoming smaller and smaller. To feel myself becoming free of the bondage I have tethered myself with, of my own ignorance and ego - is truly liberating. I am diving into the pool of being.

My deepest gratitude to all of you for sharing Sadhguru’s wisdom and grace to myself, and to others. I feel his exuberance and joy is now my companion.

Loving greetings
-Davina
